My Honest Story Ranking Every Super Rare Brawler in Brawl Stars

Our Brawl Stars Super Rare brawlers tier list for the 2026 meta ranks S-tier menaces Tick and Rico, plus reliable A-tier picks like 8-Bit and Darryl.

I still remember the first time I opened the Brawler menu as a fresh player and felt completely overwhelmed. There were so many brawlers, and the Super Rare category alone made me second-guess every upgrade. Have you ever stared at a tier list and wondered if your favorite brawler was actually worth the coins? That is exactly how I felt. So I decided to stop reading giant spreadsheets and start actually playing. After months of battles, losses, and a few rage quits, here is my honest, story-driven tier list for every Super Rare brawler in the current 2026 meta.

S Tier: The Brawlers That Make Me Smile and My Enemies Cry 😈

Tick has been my guilty pleasure in Bounty ever since I unlocked him. Why? Because his mines do not explode on landing; they wait. I have won matches by simply carpeting the map and watching enemies freeze in panic. Sure, you can stand still to avoid the mines, but then you cannot heal. His Automa-tick reload Star Power makes him even more annoying, and his Last Hurrah Gadget gives me a shield and knockback when assassins try to ruin my day. In 2026, Tick still benefits from his Hypercharge, which makes his Super move faster and spawns six mines after destruction. Is it cheap? Maybe. Do I care? Not at all.

Then there is Rico. I used to think he was just a worse Colt until I learned how to bounce his shots off walls. On maps with cover, Rico feels like a sniper with infinite ammo. His Super pierces through enemies, and his Bouncy Castle Gadget can heal him completely while he attacks. Think about it: I have landed kills from across the map while simultaneously topping off my own health. His Hypercharge makes his Super even more oppressive, giving him stat boosts and making it likely he wipes someone out. Rico is the reason I no longer fear Heist.

A Tier: Strong, Reliable, and Occasionally Ridiculous 💪

8-Bit is slow, and I used to hate that. But his turret changes everything. It boosts damage for me and my teammates, and in PvE modes like Boss Fight he is nearly irreplaceable. I have used his Cheat Cartridge Gadget to teleport to my turret and ambush brawlers who thought they were safe. With his Hypercharge, the turret fires lasers and can even defend itself. His Plugged In Star Power fixes some of his speed issues, and Boosted Booster makes the turret even better. If you play with Nita and 8-Bit, victory often feels like a formality.

Darryl is the brawler who taught me that close range does not mean passive. He charges his Super over time, which means I can focus on staying alive and then rolling straight into the enemy backline. The fact that he can now stack his Super twice is one of the wildest changes I have seen. And his Hypercharge scatters bullets around as he rolls, so two consecutive supers can clear a zone completely. His Star Powers and Gadgets are not amazing, but his raw engage potential keeps him in A tier.

Carl is crafty, and I love that. His pick-axe boomerang always comes back, dealing damage on the return path. I have used his Flying Hook Gadget to cross water and reach objectives in Brawl Ball and Hot Zone before the enemy could react. His two Star Powers give either faster attacks or a shield during his Super. His Hypercharge leaves a trail of rocks, which is useful for chipping enemies or blocking paths. He may have received a gadget charge nerf, but Carl still offers plenty of value.

B Tier: Fun to Play, But Harder to Carry 🙂

Gus does not hit hard, but his Super shield has saved my life more times than I can count. He places spirits across the map after every four successful hits, and you can have up to ten of them. I used to think that was silly until a teammate picked up a spirit and survived by one hit point to score the winning goal. His Hypercharge in Season 38 lets his Super launch spirits all over the map to heal teammates and damage enemies. It is wonderful utility, but I still prefer the brawlers ahead of him when I need to carry a random team.

Dynamike is the brawler I rage quit against before I learned to dodge. Have you ever been stunned by a perfectly placed Dynamike Super? It is infuriating. However, once you understand that his attack only deals full damage when enemies stand directly above both sticks, he becomes predictable. His Dyna-jump Star Power is a fun escape tool, and Demolition adds damage. His Hypercharge spawns multiple bombs, which is great for area denial. He sits in the middle of the pack because fun does not always equal consistent wins.

Jessie is good, not great. Her attacks bounce off enemies, and her turret is useful in Heist and Hot Zone. I have used her Recoil Spring Gadget only against the Heist safe; in every other mode, Spark Plug is the better choice for slowing enemies down. Her Hypercharge gives her Scrappy 2.0, but honestly it does not make her much more intimidating. Energize lets me heal her turret, and Shocky Star Power makes its attacks bounce too. She is near the top of B tier, and that feels right.

C Tier: Situational Picks That Still Have a Place ⚠️

Jacky struggles on open maps, and that is the truth. Both of her Star Powers are defensive, which makes me sad because I want to smash things. Counter Crush is the better option because it converts damage taken into a free attack. Her Hypercharge increases movement speed, damage, and shield while briefly slowing enemies, which helps her catch up and crush foes. But without walls or tight corners, she suffers. I only pick Jacky when the map is full of chokepoints.

Penny used to be worse, so being in C tier is actually a miracle. Her turret does not need to be close to enemies, and it can cause chaos in Hot Zone and Heist. Her attack pierces through enemies, but in most one-on-one situations that mechanic is not useful. Her Hypercharge fires two cannonballs instead of one, which is nice for stationary targets like the Heist safe. In regular combat, it does not always make a difference. Penny is a situational pick, but she can still surprise you.

Tier Brawlers
S 😈 Tick, Rico
A 💪 8-Bit, Darryl, Carl
B 🙂 Gus, Dynamike, Jessie
C ⚠️ Jacky, Penny

Ultimately, this is not a rulebook. Have you ever won with a C-tier brawler just because you knew the map and the matchup? I have, and that is the magic of Brawl Stars. Every brawler has a mode or two where they shine. Use this list as a guide, but play what makes you happy. After all, a tier list cannot measure how much fun it is to roll through a team with Darryl or watch enemies step on Tick mines. See you in the arena.
